The Blair and Groom

Was this the reason the two Labour Prime Ministers were snubbed from the Royal Wedding?
These scenes were depicted in Michael Sheen's The Queen, also starring academy award winning Helen Mirren. Prince William is said to have grievances with him after he used the death for political capital and boosting his approval ratings to record levels.

Blair revisted both his meetings with the Queen, which is strictly against the code. However more controversial was his revival of his disagreement with William

“I had also spoken to William who was not only still grieving but angry. He knew, rationally, why the week between Diana’s death and the funeral had to be as it had been. But he felt acutely the conflict between public position and private emotion.”
This would have deeply upset William to see such a personal issue published without his consent and it is therefore completely understandable that the Labour PM was omitted from the guest list. The rest of the royals were neither to keen either. Cherie Blair often snubbed the royals, while Blair forced the Queen to follow Blair's protocol in the funeral proceedings over her own methods, perhaps more sensitive to the emotions of the young princes?

EDL and Islam Against Crusades to protest at Royal Wedding

The pro-Islamist and Sharia law supporting group Islam Against Crusades, are planning a demonstration against the Royal Wedding and British culture. They believe that British culture, the royal family included, is immoral and Islamophobic. In response, the far-right pressure group, the English Defence League, are planning a counter-protest against the radical Islamic group.

The day for the wedding has been under extreme warning and protection, with police checking streets and even traffic lights to check for bombs and explosive devices. The Mayor for London, Boris Johnson, has imposed a fifty metre curfew away from Westminster Abbey, for protesters to do as they wish.

Meanwhile, republicans are also engaging their own personal 'war against the royals' by having their own parties in London, to counteract street parties in London and around the UK. This is expected to be a repeat of the wedding of Charles and Diana in 1981, where republicans drove through street parties, as people celebrated.

The wedding itself is expected to be viewed by some 2.3 billion people worldwide, and is expected to raise £250 million for London's economy. Many journalists have argued that the whole world will unfortunately see what Britain is becoming, by seeing extreme Muslims protesting near Westminster Abbey. Speaking on LBC this morning, Boris Johnson said that: 'these people are vile, and I am sure that 99% of Muslims in this country will not condone the actions of these people, and I am sure that the Muslim community in this country will join with me and the rest of the country in celebrating this momentous occassion'.

It is expected that 2 million people will attend street parties and celebrate across the UK, with picnics and traditional British meals being the largest source of purchase in the week leading up to what is expected to be the highlight of the year.

Paine Parties

Republic, an anti-monarchist group is planning it's own street parties in antipathy of the event. Dubbed 'Paine Parties' after the notable radical Thomas Paine, they too want to see an erosion of Britain's ancient institutions and traditions.

The group has also attracted participation from Spain, Holland, Norway, Denmark and Belgium. Whilst freedom of speech is an important, there is something unethical about their involvement. It undermines the values of the Britain and interferes with the self-determination of its people. They will also sour the day for the substantial majority who are proud loyalists. This latest revelation is another outstanding example of the bitter leanings of some left-wingers. One group posted an image of HRM with the words 'Benefit Scrounger' despite all the work committed by the Queen to British diplomacy. Last year she visited the Big Apple to address the UN, she inspired delegates and reinforced the efforts made towards peace. She also ventured on a trading venture in the UAE to encourage Britain's involvement with gulf markets. In the past the Queen had a pivotal role in the release of Nelson Mandela and influenced members of the commonwealth to condemn apartheid.

Their main excuse is that Taxpayers money is funding the wedding, however the revenue from merchandise and tourism will far exceed that, not forgetting the coverage across the globe.

They are welcome to have their pathetic protest but people will be too busy celebrating to notice them. Graham Smith needs to be taught an important lesson "don't cut off your nose to spite off your face".
